📅 Dates you need to know

If you're planning a trip to Valencia

Hi friends,

We’re at that point in the year where if you haven’t already planned your trips for 2025…

Well, you should probably get on that.

Those plane tickets only go UP from here on out.

But if you’re coming to Valencia in 2025, here are a few dates you should be aware of. Because this is when your trip to Valencia will be the MOST expensive.

⭐️ March 1st — March 20th

This is when we’ll be celebrating Les Falles. Not only do a million tourists come to the city — a lot of Valencians will actually be leaving for their own holidays.

Which means hotels and plane tickets both ways will be more expensive!

⭐️ April 21st — April 29th

This is the Easter holiday in Valencia. Again — you’ll get some incoming tourism AND outgoing vacationers.

Plus, April 28th is the “segon dia de pasqua”. Which means it’s an extra holiday in the city of Valencia (so again — $$$)

⭐️ May 1st

This is international worker’s day! Not only is it extra expensive to travel during these dates — but everything will be closed in Valencia.

It’s a great time to travel because of the weather, but it’s the last high-priced day before the peak season.

⭐️ June 19th — 25t

June 19th is the Corpus Christi. This is actually a really underrated festival and I highly recommend watching it if you can. Buuuut hotels will be more expensive.

In fact, this used to be the most important holiday in Valencia before Les Falles.

And June 25th is Sant Joan — another exciting holiday that celebrates the coming of Summer.

⭐️ August 15th

August is already the most expensive time to visit Valencia. But the 15th is also a holiday! Soooo expect extra high prices.

If you can — I highly recommend visiting Valencia in July or September for the best summer experience.

⭐️ October 9th

The Nou d’Octubre is the day of Valencia! You’ll get to see special desserts (la mocaorà), lots of parades, and other special events.

It’s a fun time to visit if you want to learn more about Valencian culture.

⭐️ October 12th

This is the día de la hispanidad, a public holiday throughout all of Spain. It’s really common for locals to go on vacation during this time.

And honestly — nothing happens in Valencia for this day, so you won’t be missing out on any celebrations!

⭐️ November 1st

This is Tots Sants — All Saint’s Day. This is another big holiday for locals. So expect many things to be closed and lots of people going on vacation somewhere else.

It’s a more solemn holiday. People visit cemeteries and pay respects to the dead. Which means it’s not the best time to visit (unless it’s also a public holiday for you).

⭐️ December 6th — 8th

These are TWO holiday right next to each other. This weekend usually ends up being one of the most expensive weekends to travel in Spain. Mostly because eveeeeeryone is going on holiday here.

But it’s also when the Christmas Markets start popping up, so it’s not a bad idea if you want to get into the holiday spirit.

Only visit during those dates if you want to see that holiday.

Of course if you want to see Les Falles or the parades during Easter — make sure to visit!

But if you want a more relaxed (or budget-friendly) holiday, then you’ll want to avoid those dates.

Some people love the excitement — and others love the low season. So just take these dates into account when planning your trip!

If you need any ideas, just reach out.

Bon viatge,

Kevin
