I don’t like Valencia’s beach

Here’s where to go instead

Hi viatgers,

Unpopular opinion, but I actually don’t think the beach in València is anything special.

I mean, sure. It’s big.

It’s right next to a lot of restaurants.

So the general area is lovely.

But as a beach…

👉️ Well, it’s far from the most impressive ones I’ve seen.

I mean, La Malva-rosa is RIGHT next to the port…

So it’s far from the crystal-clear Mediterranean waters they promise you.

In other words:

If you want to sunbathe or just be near the water — then it’s great.

If you want to swim — then I don’t really like it.

Better beaches in the Valencian Country

Instead, I would check out the following:

🏖️ Peníscola. It’s just as long, but the water is a lot nicer. Plus you get views of the medieval castle! ➡️ Book a day trip

🏰 Cullera. Basically the same as above. Nicer water + a castle. And you can get here by train!

🌅 Calp. Beautiful, crystalline water. It’s a bit further away, but it’s STUNNING. If you want the best water, this where you’ll go.

🪁 Santa Pola. This is the perfect spot for people who love to go kite surfing. So if you’re looking into some water sports, then I’d recommend going here.

Make the most of València’s beach

Honestly, if you’re here as a tourist — I’d recommend spending time going out on a boat excursion.

You’ll get nicer water, and a super fun experience.

Is it an “authentic experience”. Well, no, not really.

But is it a relaxing and memorable way to spend your Mediterranean vacation?

Yeah, absolutely.

Go on a sunset cruise.

I skipped to the bottom, summarize it for me:

Go to a better beach if you want to swim. The list is above.

Go on a Sunset Cruise for a better time at Valencia’s beach.

Bon viatge,
Kevin
