🍅 Toma! (tina)
Fancy a food fight?
Hi viatgers,
Ever had the urge to just take a ripe tomato and throw it at someone as hard as you can?
Well, that’s what an entire town thought would be fun.
Today is one of the biggest festivals in the Valencian Country.
La Tomatina.

Said to be the biggest food fight in the world, each year thousands of people sign up for this sticky end to the summer.
It all happens in Buñol, a very small town that isn’t really well known for much else.
And because it’s so small — tickets sell out FAST.
⚡️ Like 6 months in advance.
Which is one of the main reasons that even after 7 years of living here (my anniversary is next week!) — I’ve still never participated in it.
Just goes to show that even yearssss later, I still have a lot to learn and experience.
So here’s my advice to you:
Start booking for your next vacation NOW.
Especially if you want to see something like Les Falles (Valencia’s biggest and most important festival) — then you’ll want to start booking now.
A “Falla” artwork (one of 700+ each year)
So here’s your homework:
➡️ Learn more about Les Falles
➡️ Book your hotel for next year’s trip (you’ll save money if you do it now!)
➡️ Eat a lovely ripe tomato to celebrate the end of summer
Or throw a tomato at your partner? But I’m not responsible for any consequences there.
Bones festes (Happy holidays),
Kevin
