November in Valencia
Fewer Crowds, Better Experiences
Hi viatgers,
November is one of my favorite times to explore Valencia – so if you’re coming this month, this is the email for you.
While the rest of Europe is bundling up, Valencia's still enjoying pleasant 18-20°C days.
…and that can be either good or bad, depending on your preference. Sometimes I do miss an actually chilly fall evening…
Good news, the summer crowds are long gone. And it’s one of the reasons Valencia in November is one of my favorite months.
(PS — check out my full article on what to do in November)
🕯️ El Dia de Tots Sants (November 1st)

November kicks off with one of Valencia's most meaningful traditions.
All Saints' Day is when families visit cemeteries to honor their loved ones, but there's a sweet side to this solemn day.
Don't Miss: The special marzipan treats! Look for panellets (small almond balls) and ossos de sant (marzipan "saint's bones") in every bakery. These traditional sweets only appear this time of year, and they're absolutely worth trying.
Pro tip: Head to some traditional bakeries to try them out!
🎉 Why November is Actually Perfect
I know not everyone is able to travel in November (some people have normal jobs, I guess)
But that’s exactly why I love the city right now.
✨ The Perks:
Actually being able to walk through La Ciutat Vella comfortably
Restaurant reservations? Easy.
Better prices on accommodation
A more realistic look at the city
The Weather Reality: November can be weird. Some years it’s pretty warm - and other years it’s cold and rainy 🤷 Make sure you bring some layers just to be safe, especially for colder nights.
🍂 Top Things to Do This November
Explore L'Albufera in Peace
Go visit this natural wonder WITHOUT the mosquitos. And you can go get a nice paella nearby, while you’re there.
Museum Marathon
Rainy afternoon? Hit up the Museu de Belles Arts (it's FREE!) or dive into Valencian history at the Museu Faller. No crowds = actually being able to read the placards.
Market Days
Seasonal produce + actually being able to walk through the isles without crashing into people = a much more pleasant experience.
Xàtiva Castle
I highly recommend taking a day trip in the fall if you have the time. This way you can explore places without sweating your butt off. You can get there via the local train, or you can book a group tour with transport included.
Russafa After Dark
Honestly, Russafa is busy all year round. But at least you’ll be able to enjoy a late-night drink without sweating. Now is a great time to try some new restaurants and enjoy the outdoors.
🎯 Start Planning for 2026 NOW
Here's something most people don't realize: the best time to plan next year's trip is right now.
Why? A few reasons:
🎭 Les Falles (March 15-19) – Hotels book up FAST. I'm talking September/October for March travel. If you want to experience Valencia's biggest festival, you need to start looking now.
💰 Better Prices – Early bird rates on flights and accommodation can save you hundreds
📅 More Options – Want a specific neighborhood or hotel? Book early and get your pick
🎓 Time to Learn – Give yourself time to pick up some basic Valencian phrases. Trust me, locals appreciate the effort!
Start with this: Block out your potential travel dates now, then sign up for flight alerts. Even if you're not ready to book, you'll know when prices drop.
